Argentine Tango
First of all a link to my favourite tango sites:
My all time favourite tango clip! LIENTANGO.
Lientango manages to catch the essence of Argentine tango, the milonga, the social dance, the dancers, the joy of hugging together and letting the music take you somewhere else, in a beautiful place. Tango can be everything, all you want it to be, like life.

Sunday morning workshop with Fred and Yermen Romero (Nov 2003, West Lafayette, IN)
Fred and Yermen demonstrating one of the steps in one of the rooms on campus.
I think this was the first workshop organized by me at Purdue.
Group picture after the workshop. I am the one behind the camera.
My very last lesson as instructor for the beginners/intermediate at Purdue (Spring 2004, West Lafayette)
The atmosphere of joy that I used to breath in our tango group at Purdue is something I'll always carry with me. It was a real pleasure to teach and share what others had taught me. This picture was taken for my very last lesson. It was quite late in the semester and we were already in the finals week and so the majority of people was at home studying. What you see here is the real hard core of our dancers.
Forever Tango show on Broadway with Mark and Kausar (NYC, August 2004)
I was so excited to go and watch Forever Tango!
It was totally unexpected finding it there during my visit and getting the discounted tickets after only 1/2 hr queueing under the rain :)
Fred and Yermen learnt from Gavito and Marcela during their stay in Chicago with the first production of Forever Tango, so this show has a special meaning for me.
Milonga along the "quais sur la Senne" (Summer 2005)
Milonga "El Cielo" in Amsterdam (venue: dancestreet)
Here is the milonga "El Cielo", the only milonga in Amsterdam dedicated to Milonguero style tango.
I'm on the dance floor too.. can you spot me? ;)
Then some of my tango friends in Amsterdam...

Milonga at "Tango Colon" in Koeln, Germany (Nov 26th 2005)
"Tango Colon" is a great place, with many good local dancers and attracting a number of dancers from all over Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands and also Switzerland.
The venue is an old factory and has really a great feeling of young, tango-squatter community. Old furniture, comfy old couches, pictures of the dancers, heavy chandeliers...
The upstairs is converted in a communial sleeping room where the dancers can retire at any point of the night/morning and drop dead on their matresses. In the morning/early afternoon, the guests will find a good frustuck and a boiling hot shower waiting for them before heading home with good memories of the night before.
Here are a few pics I took of the place. It's usually very crowded and I took these pics a bit early in the evening.
Moira and Cous
